Dr. Kevin Danaher to Speak at the Festival Friday & Saturday

Global Exchange and Green Festivals co-founder, Dr. Kevin Danaher, will speak at the festival on Saturday and hold roundtable discussions with community leaders Friday afternoon. Described by The New York Times as the "Paul Revere of globalization's woes," Dr. Kevin Danaher's analytical expertise, sense of humor and blunt eloquence make him an exceptionally dynamic speaker.

Comedian Dave Coulier to Emcee Preview Party

RARA Trail Race Announced

Rochester Area Recreation Authority (RARA) will present the MI Earth Day - RARA Trail Race. The race will start at the festival site at 2nd & 3rd Street intersection and cover a challenging 4 mile route over the Clinton River trail and through Bloomer Park. The registration fee is only $15 and includes t-shirt and awards in several age categories. Event registration will be handled by RARA.

Oakland Press to Print Program

The Oakland Press will print up to 30,000 MI Earth Day Fest programs (event guides) and distribute them as an insert in their Sunday, April 18th, editions of the Oakland Press and Macomb Daily, as well as at the event. This will provide expanded promotion of our sponsors, exhibitors and programs.

MI Earth Day Gets Major Media Support

We're excited to announce that our PR company, the Liebler Group, has arranged two major media sponsorships: The Oakland Press and Macomb Daily, with combined readership of 450,000, and WWJ Newsradio 950, with Detroit's largest radio audience of over 700,000 weekly listeners.
